Things To Do - Sunshine Coast attractions.

Discover The Sunshine Coast

When you want a change from the hinterland, you can take a day trip to just about anywhere on the coast in about 30 minutes.

Why not start with a look at the fish at Underwater World or the animals at the world famous Australia Zoo, where you might even get to see the daughter of the Crocodile Hunter – Bindi Irwin.

The kids will love to visit Bellingham Maze, Aussie World and the Ginger Factory or if it’s adventure you want then don’t miss the Big Kart Track and Bungy Bullet.

If you enjoy strolling through quality markets then the Eumundi Markets are a must and now open every Saturday and Wednesday. Yandina and the Big Pinapple also offer farmer’s markets every Saturday morning.

Some of the world’s best beaches are here on the sunshine coast so make sure you have a swim at either Mooloolaba, Alexandra Headlands, Maroocyhdore, Coolum or Noosa beach. Then once your coastal adventure is over for the day you can head back to the hills for a night of star gazing, made even better if the Mapleton Observatory is open for night viewing.

Why would you want to be anywhere else but at Lilyponds Holiday Park in Mapleton on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland.

“Beautiful Gardens – My young daughter and I stayed for a couple of night in the bunk cabin settings,. I could not fault it, the cabin amenities and family room all spotlessly clean. Our linen and pillows of good quality and the gardens are just lovely. A great modern children’s playground is in a minutes walk. We stayed in the off peak time and the pool was all ours to use and the setting serene and peaceful. Thank you and we will be back”.

“Friendly and helpful – We found this to be a very friendly site, both with the management and residence. We were in a camper van and was given a newly laid pitch which was level and spacious. The facilities were modern and clean, the barbeque area was spotless and well equipped. The camp kitchen also had a lounge area which was comfortable and was Hardy for using the free WiFi, just watching the TV or just chatting to fellow campers. Quite site, pretty gardens and a duck with character. Recommended”.

“Well run establishment – This is well run small friendly caravan/cabin park where you do not have to pay for a lot of bells and whistles that you do not need or want. It come as no surprise to learn that the parks is managed by resident owners; the standard of maintenance makes that obvious. The frogs flowers and birds are a bonus”.

“Friendly Service – We stayed in a cabin at Lilyponds Holiday Park that was nicely decorated, comfortable and most importantly, very clean. The owners were very helpful and went out of their way to make our family stay enjoyable. The rates are affordable too”.
